Pale ale in the Anglo-American tradition – thirst quencher with a little something extra for hot summer days.
After a few successful small attempts by Vincent during his apprenticeship, we decided to take it to the big brewhouse in 2019. The result is the 2019 summer edition of a modern beer from our traditional brewery.
As is customary in Franconia, the Thristy Ale is bottled in a 0.5 liter bottle. The slender malt body allows the hops enough room to develop. An alcohol content of around 5% vol. also allows a second glass as a thirst quencher. Appropriately chilled at 7 -8 °C – a real palate refresher on hot summer days. Excessive chilling dampens the fruity citrus flavor. The clear but not lingering bitterness, strengthened by the backbone of the craft beer Cascade, rounded off with the fruity sweet tartness of Hüller Melon, culminates in the refreshing citrus aromas (citrus fruit aromas, tropical fruits) of the American Citra® and the mandarin-like resinousness of the German flavor hop Mandarina Bavaria.
It is also worth a try as a lemonade, shandy or even as a sour shandy. Thristy Ale is the beer to get through oppressively hot summer days without getting dehydrated and losing the fun. Pithy fruity pale ale, flooded with refreshing orange and yellow flavors in a crisp summer beer.
