Since the first brew in 2001, Urban and Katharina Winkler have been realizing their idea of combining tradition with contemporary demands in this beer.

Amber-colored and tangy, it presents itself as a unique organic beer specialty from Upper Franconia. We brew our Classic according to the strict Bioland processing guidelines, which “bring the purity law to the field” (i.e. the production of malting barley and hops is regulated by Bioland). Even in the brewery, requirements that go beyond the Purity Law are imposed on the cleaning agents, the quality of the raw materials, the craft brewing process and the naturalness of the beer. Only the best organic malts, organic aromatic hops and our excellent water may be used for brewing. We are delighted that all these ingredients are grown in excellent quality in our immediate vicinity.
With Weißenoher Classic, beer enjoyment becomes environmental protection. One crate of Classic saves the use of agrochemicals on 7 square meters of land! The Bavarian purity law was yesterday. For us today, the organic purity law applies – as laid down in the Bioland guidelines for beer. A new standard for outstanding beers.

YEAST from our own farm, without the addition of food chemicals, from guaranteed non-genetically modified strains.
