Weißenoher Altfränkisch

Our Altfränkisch is a red beer specialty brewed according to Franconian tradition.

We still brew it today, just as my ancestors have always brewed Weissenoher. The traditional, elaborate boiling mash process gives this beer its distinctive character. Selected malts and fine aromatic hops give Altfränkisch its full-bodied taste and subtle tartness. Bottom-fermented and then matured for a long time, this is a classic Franconian beer for every moment.

Goes well with: all Franconian tavern specialties.

Aroma: balanced, floral and grassy hop bitterness, bready roasted aromas, fruity acids, honey-like malt
Hops: 24 bittering units from the following varieties: Hersbrucker Gebirgshopfen, Spalter Ariana, Spalter Nordbrauer, Spalter Select
Malt: Weissenoher Wiener
Original wort: P 12
