Our Eucharius Märzen is a chestnut-red specialty and is still brewed as it was in the days before the invention of ammonia refrigerators, when summer brewing was prohibited. An intensive boil mashing process and hearty malts give it its powerful body. The extra alcohol and hops gave it the necessary shelf life for storage over the summer in the rock cellars. As an unfiltered and naturally cloudy cellar beer, it is filled directly from the storage tank into the bottle. This preserves all the valuable aromatic ingredients.
